I just don't know, you guys....
Milch is so damn hot on "John" right now - it's hard to tell if he's hard at work on the 2 Deadwood films. I hope to God he is. In the meantime, despite the negative reviews of "John" from our local TV reviewer here in San Francisco, I'm actually getting into it and I'm enjoying it. So far, it has absolutely nothing on Deadwood, but it's good to see Milch branching out and doing something else, albeit so prematurely! "John" really does have something to it. It is not lacking in substance!
I'm not sure if I can forgive David for leaving all of us fans in such a lurch! Do you forgive the guy? He's an artist. I think he needs to hear our feedback!
Deadwood was so exceptional, so brilliant and such a shining star - far above conventional television, that it really, really hurt me to see it go, so soon, so unfinished! Milch has to know this!!!
Soooo -we can only hope. Let's hope we get some good news from HBO about the Deadwood movies! I remain hopeful - that's for sure!
Until then - "John" will most definitely carry me through the wait!

I'm holding out for the new series coming out in September, but I agree. Nothing has even come close to SFU and Deadwood. I liked John from Cincinnati, but it's not getting picked up again, and I am honestly not surprised. It's a bit too cerebral.

Generally I don't watch network TV and I don't have showtime, although I was tempted by The L Word and Dexter. Who knows, Maybe I'll be a convert.
