I thought Dan was a goner for a while there, right up to the time he popped the other guy's eyeball out. How gross was that!? Hubby and I were both hollering at the screen "EEWWWW!!
He's re-asserted himself as the mean muthafucka you don't wanna mess with, and the ladies are lining up to offer their comfort :)

Mon, July 10, 2006 - 6:07 AMYeah, but what type of emotional toll did this take on our beloved henchman? -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 7:38 AMThat fight scene was too much!
I also though Dan was gonna be a goner, but woah! And it is going to wreak havok on his emotions.
And what about Alma using again...and trying to seduce her husband...and him leaving???
It's getting good! -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 9:27 AMI expected Alma to use again once Leon started hanging around-
I also expected that fight to be a battle til the end for one of them-
Didn't expect the suicide :( -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 9:30 AMyeah, Steve the drunk is a cocksucker.

Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 11:08 AMI LOVED the eye dangling bit!! Ah the memories of my misspent youth. ;^)
Color me dense but why did Alma's hubby freak out on her advances?
Did i mention how much I hate Steve? -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 11:29 AMhe could tell she was on the dope again

Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 11:37 AM>>Ah the memories of my misspent youth. ;^)<<
That was the first thing I thought of!! Heehee!!
I was really pissed off that Hoffsteadler killed himself over that fuckwit Steve.
And yeah, I am pretty sure that Ellsworth shied away because he knew she was using again. -

Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 11:57 AMHad they not established a knowing of eachother in the biblical sense yet? Or is my filthy Dom showing again? Because really, who cares if she's high if she's mine! -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 12:45 PMI'm fairly certain that they have not...Ellsworth is, deep down, a gentleman...not like Al.
So yep, your filthy Dom side is showing.

Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 3:29 PMI was wondering if Mr. Ellsworth is still a virgin . . . that was definitely weird.
WTF was the screwball doing with the prostitute in the tub? Was she supposed to be a submarine or something? Too funny! -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 4:02 PM>> I was wondering if Mr. Ellsworth is still a virgin . . . that was definitely weird<<
I don't think so. He was married and had a daughter before. I think they died of Smallpox.
I think he was just being respectful and not wanting Alma to do anything she'd regret when sober...
Yeah that scene with the ex sherrif and that whore were hilarious!
Mrs. Langrishre is a harlot! And I think her hubby is a pansy! heehee! -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 11:32 PMI don't think Ellsworth has any idea that Alma is using again (morphine this time?). If anything, he may have been reacting to her behaving so out of character. Remember, just two episodes ago, she was attacking his manhood telling him that HE couldn't protect her (bringing to mind Bullock's beating of her father).
Ellsworth is a good man and probably a good husband, but no man has an easy time getting it up after belittling comments. Maybe he thinks this is just another veiled attack, another way of making him feel inferior.

Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Tue, July 11, 2006 - 6:05 AMhalf the camp knows she's using again... and he was all for it until she looked like she was about to pass out. he knows of her prior history i'm sure. why else would he tell her not to forget to collect Sofia's things? -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Tue, July 11, 2006 - 7:28 AMJoshua's dead on. He was into it until he looked her in the eye and saw that she wasn't *really* there. -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 7:02 PMI just watched the show a second time and you're absolutely right. He was nervous but willing until he either tasted it on her lips or smelled it on her breath. How appealing can it be to know a woman is only interested in you if she's stoned?

Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 3:31 PMyep, it's always fun till somebody loses an eye. This seems to have really torn Dan up inside, wonder if he'll recover or lose his mind? Al seems to think he'll come around. I was a bit dissapointed over the abscence of Jane in last night's episode, but overall it was just great!

Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Tue, July 11, 2006 - 2:37 PMThe fight scene was awesome. I loved the shots of Al & Hearst watching their champions. Al's bowing of the head when Dan was being pushed into the mud puddle was awesome. -

I liked when Bullock grabbed Hearst by the ear and marched him to the jail for a time out. -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 7:37 AMOh I had forgotten all about that!!
That was hysterical!

Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 10:01 AMI wondered whether than was by design. Hearst placing himself under protection. He knew Bullock hated him but also knew he was a straight shooter and in his suddenly unguarded position was his best option for survival. -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 11:25 AMI hadn't thought of that-
You're saying that Hearst knew without the Capt that he'd be without protection from anyone gunning for him, so he made himself accesable for Bullock to find, with the pre-thought plan to be under arrest, and out of harms way? -
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 11:28 AMI dunno if Bullock is the best protection though. I'd love to see him pop Hearst in the face like he does Steve the drunk...
-
Re: Dan's big fight scene ****Spoilers****
Wed, July 12, 2006 - 11:30 AMYep! That's what I'm sayin'.
Bullock's got a short temper for sure but Hearst knows that and knows precisely how to play him. He also knows that for all his surliness Bullock is also altruistic. That makes him a very easy mark for a man like Hearst.
